Peter Lang Wood Art
Peter Lang has had a varied career, from working as carpenter and cabinet maker to doing community advocacy. He has always maintained his love for art, and is now able to dedicate his time to working in wood, with an eye for the beauty in the grain of each piece.
As well as making jewellery and treasure boxes he has been framing work from local artists. Peter also makes waney-edged mirrors, meaning he leaves the natural edge of the wood on the exterior of the frame.
He also designs and frames ceramic tiles, and does mixed media sculptures.
Peter works mainly in local wood, cut from his rural property, located about 30km west of Thunder Bay (Kaministiquia).
