Kerrie Atkinson Pottery
Kerrie Atkinson has been a potter in Thunder Bay since 1978, when she took her first Pottery course at Lakehead University, and was hooked for life.
Kerrie makes mostly functional pottery. She loves the actual throwing of the pot best.
Most of her pottery is wheel thrown and high fired in an electric kiln.
"There is something wonderful about feeling the raw clay transform into a useful item."
Kerrie works in a studio separate from her house, in the country (Kaministiquia) about 30 Km west of Thunder Bay.
